Sandra M. Schlote

Sandra Merle Schlote, 85, passed peacefully at Big River Nursing Facility in Cedar Hill, MO.  

She started working for 7UP Co. at 17 years old until she got married in 1958 to David Schlote. She worked as a secretary for the family business while raising five boys. She was a den mother for many years, a bowling instructor, and President of the St. Bernard Club of America. She started Sandy’s Ice Cream Shop in Dittmer, MO, then was a secretary at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in House Springs, MO. She then worked for many years for Seniors Helping Seniors, until she retired.  

She was born March 19, 1937, in St. Louis, MO and was the daughter of Jacob and Christabel Boucher; sister to Don, Jo Ann, and Janet; mother of Scott Schlote, Andy (Brenda) Schlote, Kevin (Valerie) Schlote, Kurt (Kristi) Schlote, and Eric (Trish) Schlote.  

She was a loving grandmother of Amanda (Phillip) Baker, Danielle (John) Adams, Jacob and Jillian Schlote of House Springs, MO; Ben Schlote of Brooklyn, NY; Andy (Evie) Schlote, Sarah, Jack, and Abby Schlote of St. Louis, MO; Rachel (Dylan) Schopper of Fenton, MO; Joey and Jason Schlote of Catawissa, PA; Christopher (Maggie Hopkins) Schlote and Claire Schlote of Blue Springs, MO; Alec, Sam, Nate, and Eric Schlote of Fairway, KS. Great grandmother of Carter and Ayda Baker, Everett and Keira Adams, Theo and Finn Scholte, and Thomas B. Schopper.  

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 27th at 11:00AM.
