On the evening of May 4, 2024, Steven Robert Kreft passed away to be with his Lord and Savior at 9:30 pm in his Affton, Missouri home with his family at his side. He endured a long painful battle after a massive stroke November 13, 2020. He kept his faith, love and laughter. He is the strongest man I know both physically and mentally. Steven was educated at St. George, St. Aloysius Gonzaga, and Bishop DuBourg. Steven proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War era, graduating from Nuremberg American High School in Germany. He received the Marksman Medal while serving.
Steven was always happy with a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. He would help anyone, anytime if they needed it. He loved going to church at St. George Parish and read the Bible often. Steven loved sports, all sports. He was a natural athlete and excelled in many, many sports. He passed his knowledge on to his son Dan. He enjoyed wagering on ball games and played the ponies occasionally. Steven loved life, my family, his family and friends, so many friends. He adored his wife Pammie and son Dan Kreft. He told them every day he loved them. He asked his wife daily, "You My Girl?" Steven has two sisters and two brothers, Laura, Tina, Eric and Rob. he was the brother-in-law to Mike Devasto, Ronald Bequette, Laurie Kreft (dec) and Jeannie Kreft. He enjoyed their phone calls and visits. He loved them very much and always told them when he spoke to them. He was a dear uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. I thank God for allowing me to love you for 48 years. You are my Heart! I want to extend my sincere thank you and love to Laura Kreft Devasto, Eric Kreft, Rob and Jeannie Kreft for their love and support during this extremely difficult time.
