Steven Paul Blasko, 77, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on May 16, 2021. Steve was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Notable (MSO-460) during the 1960's. He was a long-standing proud member of several labor unions and worked at P.D.George, Moog, and Tower Automotive as a journeyman millwright and in HVAC repair. His motto was "There is no stress that fishing can't handle" and he enjoyed spending time at his second home on the lake in Laurie, MO. Steve was a lifelong fan of the Cardinals and the Blues. He was a kind, witty, smart, hardworking man. He was respected and treasured by his family, friends, fellow workers, and all that were privy to a conversation with him.
Steve is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Catherine (Cate), his daughter and son-in-law (Lisa and Jeff Pentecost), his much-loved grandchildren (Chandler and Mallory Pentecost), and his siblings Ruth, Dorothy, Erwin, Joyce, Ken, and Tom. Steve will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Friday, June 4th. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 3rd at Lakeside 370 park corporate pavilion in St. Peters, open house style from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
