Sue Hoeft

On January 23rd, 2023, Susan Louise Hoeft passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her bedroom at 84 years old.

She was born on October 11th, 1938 in St. Louis County. Susan worked as a Chef for DePaul Hospital for many years. She adored taking care of her family and many others who considered her to be “Mom.” She made sure you were well fed and entertained through several card and board games, with many laughs shared. Susan spent most of her life in Irondale, MO, with the love of her life, Thomas Hoeft.

Susan is predeceased by her husband; Thomas Hoeft, her parents; Theodore and Eleanor Pyle of Linn, MO, her sisters; Joyce and Perry Kaullen of of Linn, MO, Eleanor and Earl Hobbs of Bonne Terre, MO, Dorothy and Dennis Cook of Bonne Terre, MO, and Beverly Baker of El Paso, TX.

She is survived by her sister; Teddy and Gerald Kremer, her children; Samantha and James Irelan, Bradley and Valerie Barton, Deborah and Donald Cerny, Ronald and Brenda Barton, her Grandchildren; Corey and Ashley Marie Irelan with daughter Zoey, Ashley Nicole Irelan, Dave McNeal, Freedom Pittman, and Tim and Nikki Nahlik.

Susan surely brought joy to all that have known her, and she will be terribly missed. May she rest in peace, and play many games of cards and Yahtzee in the afterlife.
