Thomas “Tom” G. Mathews

Thomas G. (Tom) Mathews, age 64, passed away suddenly at his home on August 6, 2018, and is preceded in death by his parents to Alberta M. (nee Haney) and John J. (Jack) Mathews, and brother John J. (Jack) Mathews Jr. Tom is survived by his 3 children, Crystal (Andrew) Mathews Simon, Kasie M. Mathews, and Thomas C (Tommy) Mathews, 2 grandchildren Chase and Lyla, 3 sisters Kathy (Harold) Mathews Brazzle, Patricia (Jon) Mathews Onik, Marcia (Jimmy) Mathews Green, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was a loving father and grandfather, an avid golfer, a businessman and was loving known by those near to him as “Meat Head”. He always had a great sense of humor and funny story to tell no matter what. Tom grew up in Dogtown, and then resided in Ballwin, MO. Tom will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery at 10:00am on Fri. Aug. 17. Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service. Please be there by 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice or the American Heart Association in Tom’s name.
