Hicks, Tina Edna (nee Naes), 81, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on June 3, 2024 after a three year battle with ALS.

 

Tina was born in Saint Louis, MO on November 8, 1942 to the late Urban and Fern Naes.  She attended St. Gregory Catholic School and then received her high school diploma from Pattonville High School in 1960.  From there, she pursued a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Fontbonne University and graduated in 1996.

 

Tina began working at Brown Shoe Company in 1976 in the retail personnel department and over the next 35 years, grew into her role as Benefits Specialist.  After retirement, she began to volunteer with Saint Joachim and Anne Food Pantry and helped with data entry.  She also became involved with a radio club and helped with MS Bike Rides and other fundraisers.  While at home, she enjoyed planting flowers, watching birds, and caring for her cats, Rudy and TJ and also her “grand cats” Francis and JP.

 

Tina is survived by her three children, Cyndi, Michael, and Kathy; her grandchildren Samuel and Michael Wayne; dear sister of Joan (Jack) Caracci, Lisa (Rick) Skinner, and Scott (Kathy) Naes; sister-in-law of Sharon Naes; dear aunt of Melanie (Derek) Hebda, David (Nicole) Skinner, Casey (Travis) Massman, Jon Naes, Cheri (David) Hicks, Karin (Dane) Roper, and Jenny (Tariq) Syed; great aunt of Matthew, Nick, Charlotte, Graham, Jacob, Avery, Dakota, Dalton, Brenick, Ricky, Meredith, Keria, Rania, Nyla and Zane. Dear friend of Cliff Rozar, who was a great support over the past 49 years. She is preceded in death by her brothers Gary Naes and Dale Naes.

 

The family will have a private viewing on June 7, 2024.
