Virgilio I. Canto

Virgilio I. Canto, 'Virgil', 72, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at 11:24 a.m. at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Peters, Missouri with his family by his side. He was born on September 11th, 1943 in Rizal, Laguna, Philippines. He was the eldest of 9 children and always kept his siblings in mind even though they were on the other side of the world. He lived a beautiful life as a beloved son, brother, husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Dear son of the late Vicente Canto and the late Maria Isleta Canto. Dear brother of the late Ernesto Canto and Elvie Canto, Luzviminda Canto Cornista and Aniano Cornista, the late Alexander Canto and Clarita Capili Canto, Merlywinda Canto Bayani and Morfeo Bayani, Erlinda Canto, Marilyn Canto Duldulao and Jun Duldulao, Fernando Canto and Rubella Montoya Canto, and Ruel Canto and Gemma Canto.

Beloved husband of Pilar D. Canto for 36 years. Loving father of Primrose, Pennylynn, and Priscilla Canto. Virgil will always be remembered for being smart, funny, generous, hardworking, handsome, loving, and loyal.

A memorial mass will be held at Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 1424 S 1st Capitol Drive, Saint Charles, MO 63303 on Tuesday, March 22nd at 4:30 p.m.
