Walter Bruce Brockmeier, 68, of O’Fallon, MO passed away on May 30, 2020.
Walter was born in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Jennings High School before serving in the U.S. Army. He then worked on the General Motors assembly line for thirty years before retiring.
Walter loved spending time with his family. He was a mentor and friend to many. He faced much adversity following a severe stroke shortly after retiring early at the age of 52. In spite of the challenges he faced, Walter continued to live one day at a time and was a bright spot in so many people’s lives.
Walter was married to Renda Brockmeier on May 2, 1997. They were married for 23 years.
Walter is survived by his wife, Renda Brockmeier; his stepchildren, Amy Mixen, Jessi Pashia, Lee English, and Patrick Bloebaum; his sister and brother in law, Joyce and Bill Baer; his nephews, Rick and Mick Goslin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Brockmeier and Dorothy Goslin.
A Memorial Service will be held at Jefferson Barracks. Date and time TBD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Humane Society of Missouri.
