Unique Dignified Services for Veterans

Diana • December 11, 2018

All veterans deserve to be honored for their incredible sacrifices and their time spent in the service. Here at Cremation Society of Missouri, we are proud to honor our country’s veterans with unique dignified services. Our Honoring our Veterans Package offers a simple solution for families who would like to have a military service for their heroic loved one. We coordinate and conduct the honorable ceremony and schedule the military honor guard to be present at the service. During the service simple military funeral honors take place; folding and presenting of the United States flag, playing of Taps, and a gun salute. These funeral honors are performed by honor details from the branch the deceased served and members of the honor guard.

There are many cemeteries in the St. Charles and St. Louis area that offer a beautiful final resting place for veterans, one of the most popular choices is National Cemetery Jefferson Barracks. Jefferson Barracks is one of the oldest national cemeteries in the United States and has served as a place of burial for our nation’s heroes from many different wars. Jefferson Barracks offers a free gravesite space and marker or headstone for veterans and their spouses.

Local cemetery, St. Charles Memorial Gardens, also offers a beautiful final resting place for veterans. All honorably discharged veterans receive a free gravesite space or an allowance towards other memorialization for families choosing cremation.
